Day 33: Meals and actually baking!

Real quick cause I got a lot of backlog to update!

Breakfast:  Microwave + croissant!

Food:  1 croissant (115 kcal)

Calories:  115 kcal

Yay a picture!  Finally!  Not being lazy lunch and onwards.  Lunch today was at Marie Callendar's!  O__O  TONS of calories O__O  TONS!

Lunch:  LOTS and lots of calories.  Marie Callendar's famous chicken pot pie and delicious corn-bread!

Food:  1/3 chicken pot pie (442 kcal) and 1/2 serving cornbread (638 kcal)

Calories:  1080 kcal
I'm so serious about the calories.

Look at the nutritional facts!  O__O  1370 calories for an entire pot pie!  And 1275 calories for a "serving" of cornbread!  Not even a full tin!    I was wondering why I was getting so full just eating the corn bread.

Big reminder.  Always read/check your labels.  O_O  ALWAYS!

Then it was off to school and workout times!!!

By the time I arrived home... I was still full!  O__O

So for "dinner" I decided to snack a bit.

Snack #1:  Dan Active probiotics drinks!


Food:  1 blueberry probiotic drink (70 kcal)


Calories so far:  1150 kcal

Seriously one of my favorite drinks.  I usually have one before work cause it's light.  Drank this before Insanity tonight.
Check it out!  Baked kale chips!  Got the idea from my friend Tiffy and the recipe from http://smittenkitchen.com/2010/03/baked-kale-chips/.  My aunt and I devoured the entire sheet!  Ate these after Insanity.

Snack #2:  Baked kale chips

Food:  6 oz. kale (~30 kcal), 1 tsp olive oil (60 kcal), 2 pinches sea salt

Calories so far:  1240 kcal

Yups!!!

Good times!  Making more kale chips tomorrow!

Day 32: Core Cardio & Balance Day 4 + Meals + Crazy shoes!

Core Cardio & Balance notes!

Not bad today!  Exercises that gave me trouble?

:: Level 4 Drills ~ woooo!  Every push-up completed!!!  The problem?  In goal to complete every push-up, I begin my "running sprints" (mt. climbers) a bit late... so I don't complete 8 repetition

:: Moving Push-up Plank Walks ~ Tough!  Again, space is partially the problem!  Had to stop about 40 seconds into it... but not as bad as yesterday

:: Hip Flexor Burners... ~ Much better today!  Right leg (first side) ~ I had to take a break during the hip flexor flexions with pulses.  BUT!  My left leg totally rocked it and did every repetition!  Yay left side!


Breakfast:  Oatmeal + leftovers!

Food:  1/2 cup oatmeal (150 kcal) + 1/4 cup frozen berries (17 kcal) + 1 tsp honey (20 kcal) and 1 IHOP pancake (110 kcal) + 1 sausage (185 kcal)

Calories:  482 kcal


For the past couple times I've tried to eat lunch at Dumpling Master in Hacienda Heights... it's been closed!  Denied!  Lucky lucky this time... it's finally open!  Lucky it's a Saturday and it's open!  Yay!  finally... and ultra delicious!

Sorry no pictures!  I was so hungry that I ate the food before I remembered to take a picture ^^;

Lunch:  Delicious food _finally_ at Dumpling Master!

Food:  1.5 cups spicy noodle soup (200 kcal?) and 5 dumplings (360 kcal)

Calories so far:  942 kcal


Nighttime was party time and living it up at The Viper Room!  The band Silent Treatment was playing... so times to dress up and wear ridiculous shoes!



Check out the lightning bold heel!!!  Oh Japan... you make the best shoes!  Difficult to walk in... but!  They're so hot!  love love love... and pain!  But fashion is pain right?


Then this weird face came up.  Actually, I half-assed a Snooki look.  I love Snooki from Jersey Shore (if you haven't figured it out yet).  Then super hungry.  


Snacks:  Cheez-Its and Wheat Thins O_O  

Food:  15-20 cheez-its (75 kcal) and 10 wheat thins (75 kcal) 

Calories so far:  1092 kcal

Day end at 2:30a!!!  O__O

Day 31: Core Cardio & Balance Day 3 + Meals

Ultra late.  I realized I didn't do notes on this day.  (backlog from day 33)

OH wait.  I do remember!  Came home and quickly did Insanity.  Was supposed to hanq with friends for ramen later... so!  no time to rest!

Main Insanity note:  Yes, it is Core Cardio & Balance... and it isn't ultra difficult compared to other workouts... but!  After running and lifting weights... and not really eating until after workouts... it was tough.

Quick shower afterwards... then hanqing time!

Meals!  Yay food!

Lunch:  Snack time at Tea Bar!

Food:  1/2 Brick toast with peanut butter and condensed milk (drool) (200 kcal?), and watermelon green tea (200 kcal?)

Calories:  400 kcal?

After snack time, Nelson and I drove over to Ramen Yamadaya!  Serious delicious ramen.  Serious.  The broth was so thick and tasty!!! Tiny place and highly recommended!  Love this hole in the wall place!

 Dinner:  Ramen and rice!

Food:  Tonkotsu ramen with all toppings (yay!) (439 kcal) and 1/4 chahan (100 kcal)

Calories so far:  939 kcal
This chahan was so delicious... but I couldn't eat it!  Stomach must have shrunk since I didn't eat all morning until that brick toast at about 5:00p!

Bad me!

After dinner... headed by to RH for dun dun DUN!  Some creamy flakey goodness.
Time for some delicious shaved snow from Class 302!

Dessert:  1/3 mango mochi snow!

Calories:  No idea.

There was a planned trip to Donut Man afterwards... but!  I had to change in some smexier clothes to be ready for Viper Room in West Hollywood!

Time for some Richie Kouzen!  He played for over 2 hours!  Seriously amazing.

Day 30: Meals quickly

Breakfast: oatmeal and berries


Food:  1/2 cup oatmeal (150 kcal) + 1/4 cup frozen berries (17 kcal) + 1 tsp honey (20 kcal)


Calories:  187 kcal




Lunch: Leftover noodles  


Food: 1/2 cup pancit (100 kcal)


Calories so far:  287 kcal



Right after lunch, picking up my friend Steph to drive her to LAX!  Ate some snacks while driving home  XD


Snacktime:  Sake Onigiri!!!  *happy*  My favorite onigiri is sake... followed by kombu!


Food:  1 salmon onigiri (191 kcal) plus 2 umaibo (50 kcal?)

Calories so far:  528 kcal

Dinnertime came at night!  Yay for Filipino food!  Ate some delicious foods at Salo-Salo!  One of my favorite restaurants!  The portions are huge... and totally affordable!  Yay!  A lot of food for 3 of us... but yum!  It's been a while since I've had Filipino food...

Dinner:  Filipino food overdose! 1226

Food:  1.5 cup garlic rice (293 kcal), 3 lumpiang shanghai (169 kcal), 1 vegetable lumpia (186 kcal), 1 tentacle (lol) inihaw na pusit (210 kcal?), and 2 bites of lechon sa kawali (81 kcal)

Calories so far:  1226 kcal

Yum for days!!!  Actually... not.  LOL.  Dad and bro killed the food over the next day.  That's what happens with deliciousness.

Day 29: Lunch, 1st dinner and 2nd dinner!

Oops, I totally stayed in bed waaay too long!

Woke up this morning and then stayed in bed until I fell asleep again... then woke up and it was 1:00p!!!  \(°д°;)/

Lunch:  Leftovers from yesterday's Lu's Garden

Food:  Eggplant (30 kcal), vegetables (10 kcal), and tofu skin (60 kcal)

Calories:  100 kcal

Dinner:  Fried chicken, pancit, and asparagus!

Food:  3/4 cup noodles (150 kcal), 1 piece fried chicken (71 kcal), asparagus (20 kcal)

Calories so far:  341 kcal
I don't know?  I wasn't very hungry today?  I think because I ate so much carbs yesterday!  Tomorrow I'm sure I will be hungry.
Yay second dinner!  Got a phone call to go out and hang with one of my favorite people!  Yum for Phoenix Cafe!  I was really craving soup.

Dinner 2:  Phoenix Cafe yumminess

Food:  Braised beef soup with noodles and black rice (200 kcal?) and young coconut (100 kcal?)!

Calories:  641 kcal?
My favorite part was the dessert!  I really didn't eat the soup, but the black rice plus coconut = so yum!  love!

Day 28: Eating out and eating in!

I had a strange dream last night/this morning.  Strange strange!  Don't remember... but I woke up and yay!  Call for breakfast!  Ate delicious breakfast food and lunch food!  Quite the Taiwanese foodie day!

Breakfast:  Early wake-up call and ate my first meal at Yi Mei Deli Co!

Fresh soy milk is the best!  I added only a little sugar to this.

I love gritty fresh fresh soy milk.  Store bought stuff is totally different...

Food:  Soy milk (~150 kcal), fried bread stuffs (150 kcal), and my favorite turnip cake with egg on top and garlic sauce (50 kcal?)

Calories:  No idea.  Guestimate time!

Calories... maybe:  350 kcal?
Here is my favorite turnip cake!  Apparently I can make this on my own at home by buying pre-made turnip cake... then frying it on my own.  Just gotta get it and some garlic sauce!

Yum.  my favorite!



Today was a cold rainy day!  Perfect for something soupy and something warm!  What an opportunity for porridge at Lu's Garden!

Lunch:  Yum times at Lu's Garden

Food:  1.5 cups porridge with yam (150 kcal), egg plant (30 kcal), vegetable (10 kcal?), fried tofu skin (100 kcal?)

Calories:  Guessing again...

Calories so far and maybe?:  640 kcal









Snack time, but not really.  My brother and I found a plate of chocolate from my aunt!  Luckily... it wasn't ultra delicious.  LOL.  I ate just one piece.

Food:  Chocolate (50 kcal)

Onto workouts and dinner!  I didn't eat as much as this picture.  Only ate half of this bowl.

Dinner:  Home cooked meal with with my bro!

Food:  2 cups penne pasta (350 kcal), 1/2 cup mushroom alfredo sauce (125 kcal), asparagus (25 kcal), broccoli (30 kcal), and garlic

Calories so far:  1220 kcal


Now it's shower and relax time!  Busy day to make up for yesterday's lazy day =p

Day 27: Random food day + walking

Today was a bad food day.  Woke up feeling full and bloated?  Also feeling groggy the entire day!  Must be the gloomy weather...

But today = random eating!

Snack times:  Phoenix Cafe goodies from yesterday

Food:  1 pecan tart, 1 oatmeal cookie

Calories:  ~250 kcal?

These were delicious, but the cookies taste a lot like butter... I wonder if it's butter or other stuff?  I can only eat one at a time.

Then I lounged most of the day... played Professor Layton... and caught up on TV.  Then... movie times with my Aunt & her friend... to watch... Wall Street:  Money Never Sleeps!  Good movie!


Movie snack times:  Auntie Anne's Pretzel

Food:  1 garlic pretzel (350 kcal)

Calories so far:  600 kcal


Dinner:  Home made dinner!

Food:  1 mackerel (254 kcal), 1/2 cup rice (100 kcal), pickled radish (6 kcal), 2 plums (60 kcal)

Calories so far:  1020 kcal


Snacks and candy:  Blueberry and Orange Jelly candies

Food:  10 jellies (~40 kcal)

Calories so far:  ~1060 kcal

Day 26: Food times and eating out

I was so tired today!

I woke up later than I had planned (hit the alarm and went back to bed for another 1.5 hours...) then woke up and went to church.  Oops.  No breakfast for me.

Onwards to my aunt wanting fried chicken from KFC!  Not my favorite... (chicken that is)... but yum for biscuits, corn on the cob and their apple pie stuffs.

Oops!  Forgot to take a picture of the food itself!

Lunch:  Kentucky Fried Chicken!  We do chicken right!

Food:  1 fried chicken wing (190 kcal), 1 fried chicken thigh (150 kcal), 1/2 serving mashed potatoes & gravy (60 kcal), 1 apple turnover (260 kcal)

Calories:  ~ 560 kcal...

Yikes on that apple turnover!  More calories in that than the chicken!  Also... I think My chicken wing was small... not a "full" chicken wing.  I didn't eat the white meat part (blech... white meat), so calories are probably a little smaller than that.

I rested about 2 hours after eating... then Insanity time!!!  Roar!

Also... laundry time!

Cleaning time!

Clobbering time!

Maybe not clobbering time.  But!  Friends came over and we played at the local brand new arcade (also bowling, pool, ping pong, and karaoke) Round 1!  Seriously check it out.  It's awesome!!!  Played 2 hours non-stop.  Yay for hourly infinite game cards.  Although there is a 1-minute wait before you can add another credit.  But we became smart later.  XD

I bet whoever played that pirate game after us was really happy... left about 6 credits on there!

Onto dinner time at the highest rated Chinese restaurant in Rowland Heights... No. 1 Noodle House!

Dinner:  Dan dan mein.  YUM!

Food:  Dan dan mein (~300 kcal), 4 wontons with hot spicy oil (~200 kcal)

Calories so far:  ~1060 kcal

This is my favorite!  This place makes it the best out of other places I've tried it at.  Yum yum yum!
This picture is of the wontons in hot spicy oil.  These are good too.  If you don't want it spicy... then don't eat that spoonful of spiciness on the top.

If you do... hot!  These are delicious also!

If you check out my link to it's yelp.com page... you'll notice many people mentioning how delicious the food is.  But don't let me hype it up.  Try for yourself!

After dinner it was snack time!  Or dessert time.  It was both.  Had these tasty treats from Phoenix Cafe.


Snack:  Black sesame & walnut and black sesame & almond puree goodness, and green tea with black sesame (inside) mochi 


Food:  Puree black sesame & walnut puree mixed with black sesame & almond puree (100 kcal?), 1 green tea black sesame mochi (110 kcal?)

Calories so far:  1270 kcal

Productive day?  XD

Tomorrow is running, maybe chiropractor, and Plyometric Cardio Circuit!!!

Almost finished with Month 1!!!

Day 25: Food times

Today was such a long day!

Eating was very... sporadic.

Breakfast:  O' my buns (last ones today!) and Starbucks!

Food:  1 mini coffee bun w/ almonds (100 kcal) and 1 tall Chai Latte with soy milk (186 kcal)

Calories:  ~286 kcal

I was so tired this morning... that when I arrived at my work area in Victorville (so far!), I had to get something warm to wake me up!

I don't like coffee... but tea is perfect!  And lucky Starbucks has soy milk!  *happy*


Lunch:  Korean food!  Noo-Roong-Ji (soup), sushi, and ice cream!

Food:  1 1/2 cup noo-roong-ji (~50 kcal), 1/2 dragon roll (260 kcal), and 1/2 scoop green tea ice cream (70 kcal)

Calories:  764 kcal

Isn't the dragon roll pretty???  I thought it was so pretty!  The picture of the caterpillar roll in the menu looked so cute!  I wish I took a photo of it.

YUP!


Dinner:  O' my buns (last one!)

Food:  1 mini coffee bun w/ almonds (100 kcal)

Calories so far:  ~864 kcal

YAY!  and surprisingly... that's it!

Day 24: Food times

Quickly so I can go to bed!

Breakfast + Snack:  O' my buns!

Food:  2 mini coffee buns (~200 kcal)

Calories:  ~200 kcal

I have 2 more left.  YUM.
You're probably thinking... another burger?  Yes.  Another one!  This time from Marie Callender's restaurant!

Lunch:  3/4 hamburger with some fries + <1/2 pecan pie slice of heaven!!!

Food:  3/4 hamburger (only ate 1 slice of bun) (~400 kcal), French fries (50 kcal), <1/2 pecan pie (440 kcal)


Calories so far:  ~1090 kcal

This pie was totally worth it.  I have never had a piece of pecan pie this heavenly.  My bro and I were laughing and smiling because it was so delicious.

Now it's time for some dinner!  Or snacks rather

Snacks:  1 bread bowl clam chowder and 1 corn on the cob

Food:  Clam chowder (~500 kcal?), 1 corn (170 kcal)

I don't mind today.  I think I worked out hard and I needed energy!  Rar!  Tomorrow will be better?... LOL.  maybe.  I just need to not go out.

Day 23: Breakfast and Dinner!

A little late in the evening, but here are my meals!  Food times!  Yay!  A bit sad because no fair times today... but it's okay because it was date night!


Breakfast:  O' my buns!

Food:  1 mini coffee bun (100 kcal?)

Calories:  ~100 kcal

I was a bad girl today and didn't eat lunch really... ended up working out all afternoon and didn't want to have food in my stomach while working out.  So it was time for dinner it was feeding time!!!  Rarz.



Dinner times = sushi times!!!  Yummy sushi times at Yashima!  Got tons of food and was so hungry!  

Sushi:  1/2 Shrimp and asparagus sushi roll (250 kcal), 2 pieces ikura (120 kcal), 1 salmon skin handroll (107 kcal), 

Calories so far:  577 kcal
This is delicious!  


My favorite sushi is great!  Ikura sushi!  Salmon roe is my favorite!  Not too much space... but wanted to post a picture of it!

Salmon skin handroll!  The great thing with this one was it had salmon in it also!  I hate when it's just salmon skin and they skimp on the salmon.  So yummy!
This was so delicious!  Albacore for reals... but I think it was called albacore caprise... I think.  So yummy!

Appetizer:  1/2 albacore caprise(?) (80 kcal?)

Calories so far:  657 kcal
Combo Bento box meal:  1/2 cup miso soup (43 kcal), 1/3 salmon teriyaki (90 kcal), 1/2 cup agedashi tofu (105 kcal), tsukimono, 1/4 cup rice (25 kcal), 1 piece watermelon (~7 kcal)

Calories so far:  927 kcal

Yay!  Yummy times!
After dinner... it was wandering around and going to Rite Aid and enjoying ice cream!  These are 2/3 size of a normal Rite Aid scoop.  I asked the scooper to give me smaller scoops since I didn't want to eat too much.  

Food:  2/3 scoop rainbow sherbert (66 kcal) and 2/3 scoop black cherry ice cream (90 kcal)

Calories so far:  1083 kcal

This is not food... but technically it is?  LOL.  This is an awesome hot dog costume we found at Target!!!  Pretty funny right?  I tried a bunch of stuff on. Check it out!

Day 22: Food times

Today was a food day!  I was out out of the house, so lots of random foods.  Also, there will be some estimations!  So hard to count calories with some foods...


Breakfast:  O' my buns!!!

Food:  1 mini coffee bun (100? kcal), 1 serving mixed nuts (100 kcal)

Calories:  200 kcal

I have no idea how many calories this has.  When I bought them last night, I asked the guy how many calories, he said he had no idea and he'd have to ask.  Oh well.
Late lunch!  The mixed nuts earlier were actually a snack during work in between testing subjects for my thesis.

Lunch was at Class 302 today with friends!  I was the only one ordered lunch... so I got a bento meal while everyone partook in the unique Taiwanese-style shaved snow.  I had a few bites later.
Food:  1/2 pork chop over rice with veggies (350 kcal?)  I ate less than 1/2 the meal.  1/6 mango & mochi shaved snow (150? kcal)

Calories so far:  700? kcal

No idea on the shaved snow for calories.  Different right?  Sorry my picture is terrible, but it's actually mango-flavored "snow" and not just ice.

Have you all been to the LA County Fair at the Pomona Fairplex yet???  If not, then you should go!  It's the last week, so last chance to enjoy it!  I went today with friends to walk around and enjoy!

On the right is a coupon for the event.  Wed-Friday, there is a $5 after 5p special.  But!  You have to have the coupon printed out.  And you have to have one per person.  Kind of sucks... but it's still cheaper than $12 or whatever the normal price is.  It's from their website.
The first monstrosity eaten at the fair.  I guess this was technically my dinner?  I really wanted one last week... sorry diet!  But I eat what I want, but I eat in moderation!

I don't eat a funnel cake a week, or even once a month.  Last time I had it was... I don't remember!  Considering all the food in a fair, I could have done worse *cough* deep fried butter... blech.
Snacks:  Funnel cake w/ powdered sugar, corn on the cob, Hot Dog on a Stick lemonade

Food:  3/4 funnel cake w/ powdered sugar (570? kcal), 2/3 corn on the cob (113 kcal), 10 oz Hot Dog on a Stick lemonade (115 kcal)

Calories so far:  1498 kcal

O_O  maybe.  Must have eaten more!!!  Tomorrow I totally have to go running or work out more!  *dies*

Now I am tired.  So I well rest and be prepared for tomorrow's workout and eating well!
