Day 60 (59/60): Max Interval Circuit & Core Cardio & Balance

I enjoyed Max Interval Circuit the least of the three "Max" workouts before... but today I found it really fun.  Maybe because my "Pedals" are better.  Sprints + 4 lunges.

I really like that exercise.

Still dislike Full Body Drills.  Booo.  I hate push-ups.  I can do them... but I don't want to.

Core Cardio & Balance

This workout isn't too bad.  I was tired from Max Interval... but I pushed through it pretty well.  I think my favorite part is the end shoulder burners workout.  Those are fun.  Tough... but fun.

Day 58 (55/57): Max Plyometric Interval & Core Cardio & Balance

Almost caught up!

Today I did 2 workouts, day 55 and day 57.  So... once I do another 2 workouts in 1 day... then I'm back on track and I'll finish the Insanity program within the allotted time!

Butt and hamstrings are so sore right now!  @__@

Day 48: Core Cardio & Balance

Thank goodness that this workout was today!  I've been feeling really burnt out the past week.  I've been lazy with my updates due to this.  Going to get really busy soon too!

So here's a video instead of my text ramblings.

This is the Warm-up plus Stretching portion from the Core Cardio & Balance DVD.

Sorry, you'll notice that the video cuts off during the stretching.  But it's pretty much the same thing repeated on the opposite side... followed by core "contracts" and "relaxes" three times.

Sooooo enjoy!

Day 34: Last day of Core Cardio & Balance

Last day!!!  O__O

Month 2 starts in 2 days.  I'm nervous and excited.  I can see a change in my body.

Then I eat.

Then it's gone.

LOL, not really, but my stomach sure does like to expand!  I think my arms and shoulders are looking good.  My thighs and legs look more toned.  4-pack kind of showing when I wake up!  Then I eat.  Then it's gone.  f(^o^;)

Core Cardio & Balance notes

WHOA.  Workout was a little tough and a little slow today.  Body's fatigued from yesterday's gym workout.  Thighs feel a bit heavy.  I took some videos.  Yes!  Multiple videos.  My baby bro came and started watching me (you can see me talk to him).  Then I started laughing at times... threw me off my game!

Anyways... enjoy!  It's been a while!

Exercise:  Warm-up stretches.  Short video.  Short segment on stretching.

Exercise:  4 right leg hops, 4 left leg hops, repeat; 8 jabs and hop to the other side, repeat; followed by... dun dun DUN!  Hip Flexor Burners (the ones I always talk about) ~ 30 seconds of hip flexion + 30 seconds of isometric hip flexion with pulses + 30 seconds of hip flexion with leg extensions!!!  Repeat on other side.

Exercise:  Standing obliques ~ same-side elbow to knee touches; Shoulder Burners ~ in sumo/plie squat while holding arms in 180 the entire time ~ 30 sec of "flapping" + 30 sec abdominal crunches with arm flys (open and close) + 30 sec overhead touches + 30 sec backward arm circles + 30 sec forward arm circles

My thighs were dying in this one!

Core Cardio & Balance ~ Day 5

Woo!  I actually kicked a little butt today!!!

:: Level 1 Drills ~ I got really mentally ready before this exercise began.  Completed every push-up repetition!  A few modified knee-push-ups... but every repetition completed!!!  WIN is me!  Also!  I completed every repetition of floor sprints (aka mt climbers)!!!  Winner is me!  Winner!

:: Moving Push-up Plank Walks ~ Did the entire minute without stopping.  It was tough... just no excuses and did it!  Yay me ^^

:: Hip Flexor Burners ~ I figured that it hurts more when I stop and relax my hip flexor while doing the exercise... so I was able to push and complete both sides without stopping!  I was really proud of that!

One more day of Core Cardio & Balance!  I really really should take a video.  O_O  Maybe of shoulder burners... I think those look interesting?

Day 32: Core Cardio & Balance Day 4 + Meals + Crazy shoes!

Core Cardio & Balance notes!

Not bad today!  Exercises that gave me trouble?

:: Level 4 Drills ~ woooo!  Every push-up completed!!!  The problem?  In goal to complete every push-up, I begin my "running sprints" (mt. climbers) a bit late... so I don't complete 8 repetition

:: Moving Push-up Plank Walks ~ Tough!  Again, space is partially the problem!  Had to stop about 40 seconds into it... but not as bad as yesterday

:: Hip Flexor Burners... ~ Much better today!  Right leg (first side) ~ I had to take a break during the hip flexor flexions with pulses.  BUT!  My left leg totally rocked it and did every repetition!  Yay left side!

Breakfast:  Oatmeal + leftovers!

Food:  1/2 cup oatmeal (150 kcal) + 1/4 cup frozen berries (17 kcal) + 1 tsp honey (20 kcal) and 1 IHOP pancake (110 kcal) + 1 sausage (185 kcal)

Calories:  482 kcal

For the past couple times I've tried to eat lunch at Dumpling Master in Hacienda Heights... it's been closed!  Denied!  Lucky lucky this time... it's finally open!  Lucky it's a Saturday and it's open!  Yay!  finally... and ultra delicious!

Sorry no pictures!  I was so hungry that I ate the food before I remembered to take a picture ^^;

Lunch:  Delicious food _finally_ at Dumpling Master!

Food:  1.5 cups spicy noodle soup (200 kcal?) and 5 dumplings (360 kcal)

Calories so far:  942 kcal

Nighttime was party time and living it up at The Viper Room!  The band Silent Treatment was playing... so times to dress up and wear ridiculous shoes!

Check out the lightning bold heel!!!  Oh Japan... you make the best shoes!  Difficult to walk in... but!  They're so hot!  love love love... and pain!  But fashion is pain right?

Then this weird face came up.  Actually, I half-assed a Snooki look.  I love Snooki from Jersey Shore (if you haven't figured it out yet).  Then super hungry.

Snacks:  Cheez-Its and Wheat Thins O_O

Food:  15-20 cheez-its (75 kcal) and 10 wheat thins (75 kcal)

Calories so far:  1092 kcal

Day end at 2:30a!!!  O__O

Day 31: Core Cardio & Balance Day 3 + Meals

Ultra late.  I realized I didn't do notes on this day.  (backlog from day 33)

*thinks*

OH wait.  I do remember!  Came home and quickly did Insanity.  Was supposed to hanq with friends for ramen later... so!  no time to rest!

Main Insanity note:  Yes, it is Core Cardio & Balance... and it isn't ultra difficult compared to other workouts... but!  After running and lifting weights... and not really eating until after workouts... it was tough.

Quick shower afterwards... then hanqing time!

Meals!  Yay food!

Lunch:  Snack time at Tea Bar!

Food:  1/2 Brick toast with peanut butter and condensed milk (drool) (200 kcal?), and watermelon green tea (200 kcal?)

Calories:  400 kcal?

After snack time, Nelson and I drove over to Ramen Yamadaya!  Serious delicious ramen.  Serious.  The broth was so thick and tasty!!! Tiny place and highly recommended!  Love this hole in the wall place!

 Dinner:  Ramen and rice!

Food:  Tonkotsu ramen with all toppings (yay!) (439 kcal) and 1/4 chahan (100 kcal)

Calories so far:  939 kcal
This chahan was so delicious... but I couldn't eat it!  Stomach must have shrunk since I didn't eat all morning until that brick toast at about 5:00p!

Bad me!

After dinner... headed by to RH for dun dun DUN!  Some creamy flakey goodness.
Time for some delicious shaved snow from Class 302!

Dessert:  1/3 mango mochi snow!

Calories:  No idea.

There was a planned trip to Donut Man afterwards... but!  I had to change in some smexier clothes to be ready for Viper Room in West Hollywood!

Time for some Richie Kouzen!  He played for over 2 hours!  Seriously amazing.

Day 30: Core Cardio and Balance Day 2

Late in the evening... I know!  BUT!  I'm getting it done.

Had to wait until my aunt was finished watching Clash of the Titans on the DVD player.  Not the greatest movie... yeah.

So, she's finished, and now it's time to work it out!

Workout done.

O_O

Notes:  Although it's a "recovery week" workout... a couple exercises kill me!

:: Moving plank push-up walks ~ these would be a little easier if I had space to move.  I can only take 3 tiny "steps" left and right before I have to change direction.
:: Hip flexor burners ~ I seriously haven't had a deep burn like that in a while.  Oh isometrics...!  I have to take a break in between each exercise to rest my hip flexor and stretch.  When I finish all three exercises, my hip flexor is burning!

:: Level 1 drills were a little easier today.  Don't know why.  They were.  Completed every single push-up, even if I did a couple knee push-ups, I did all repetitions!

p.s. Workouts are soooo tough when you're sore!  Two days ago, I did some strength training for my back, butt, and hamstrings.  Yup, felt it when I woke up this morning.  Felt it a bit last night.  Two days though... DOMS doms doms DOMS dooooooooms!  Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness.

Tomorrow I should be better.  So I promise for sure to go running, walking, and more strength training!  Must get my back in decent shape before next week comes!

Day 29: Core Cardio & Balance

A little late in the evening, but today was the first day for Week 5 of Insanity!

It's all Core Cardio & Balance this week!  Will probably be doing more walking, running, and weight training!  I probably shouldn't... since I'm supposed to be "recovering"... but!  At least I'm not doing more Insanity... so I'm resting from Insanity workouts.

Thoughts on Core Cardio...!

Relaxing workout!  A lot slower pace for each exercise and at lower intensity compared to regular workouts due to it being a "Recovery" week!

Not only that, but Shaun T demonstrates each exercise (except Heisman).  This makes a little rest time in between each "one-minute" exercise.

Almost all the exercises are from the various Insanity workouts, some are variations of the already known exercises.

Maybe tomorrow I'll do a video!  I've been lazy with my videos lately... I need to do at least one this week!

Tomorrow is Core Cardio & Balance again!  Plus maybe some running/walking/or weight training.  We'll see!
