Day 17: Meals 1 & 2 --> Lunch & Dinner

Oh noes!  Today was a bad eating day.  It's okay though... once in a while right?  Although that once in a while is happening more frequently than usual!  (oT_To)

I only ate 2 meals... as opposed to my usual preferred 4 meals per day.

But I had lunch with friends... took a nap (oops), then hate a late dinner with my aunt (who's visiting from Italy)!  You know when you have family/friends visiting... especially my frail aunt... I really don't mind changing my schedule for her at all!  She's only here for a few weeks... so whatever she wants, she gets!

*** edit *** Strange... been trying to upload a photo, but it's not working.  Just keeps freezing my browser.  I tried with Google Chrome and with Firefox.  Oh wells?  Will edit later. ***

Breakfast:  Yum time with Steph and Loy at Buca de Beppo

Food:  2/3 bruschetta (~500 kcal?), 1/6 linguini fruitti de mare (~160 kcal), 2/3 bread (180 kcal?), 1/8 colossal brownie sundae (300 kcal?)

Calories:  1140 kcal?

I have no idea on the calorie count for this one.  No thanks to Buca not providing all of their menu items with nutritional facts.  So I have to guestimate a lot.  I always try to over-estimate also.

I seriously coma-ed after this.  I don't know why I ate so much of the bruschetta.  I really wanted it... but when I ate it, it didn't taste very good.  *sadness*  Way too salty and not enough flavor.  So I fell asleep while I was at home.  Oops.

I did end up waking up, feeling remorseful and taking a long walk then Insanity!  I'll talk about it later.

Dinner:  A late dinner at Denny's with my aunt!

Food:  1 pancake (170 kcal), 2 sausages (282 kcal), 2 egg yolks (180 kcal), 2 cups orange juice (220 kcal), 1 slice garlic bread (85 kcal)

Calories for this meal only:  937 kcal

OMG I totally went overboard for today.  But I also felt extremely hungry.  My aunt is on Italy time... so she wasn't hungry earlier... so we went for dinner at 9:30p.  Most places were closed or had an extremely long wait.  So... back to Denny's!  Yay for 24 hours... but >_< for going high calorie counts!  Food is so much better when you cook it yourself!

Luckily I worked out extra hard for today.

Day 16: Plyometric Cardio Circuit!

Today's workout felt really good!  I feel like the workouts are getting a bit easier.

It surprised me a bit, since I woke up with my upper body (in particular my traps, biceps, and lats), very stiff from moving furniture!  My bro and I had to remove and replace huge sliding mirror closet doors.  It was so heavy!  We had to keep taking breaks I started getting sweaty... sad last night cause it was right after I took a shower.

So surprising today that my plyos workout was pretty strong!

I was able to get through the first 2/3 of the workout without having to take an extra break or stop.  Yay for muscular endurance!!!  During the last couple sets of the workout... man ~ those "Level 1 Drills"... were killing me!

Level 1 Drills ~ I started out with full push-ups... and then modified, but I kept up with the counts/timing of the DVD for the entire first set.  The second set was majority modified knee push-ups but mostly keeping up with timing.  I think I took 1 break, but really pushed myself.

Ski oblique jumps ~ Right after Level 1 drills, you think you're done... but these come in the equation sometime... and it was my arms that were dying!  My core was mostly okay... it was hard to try to ignore my arms burning out.  But I luckily am pretty stubborn and did almost all of them 1st set.  2nd set and 3rd set were pretty difficult.  All mental during those.

"Knees in - and - out" ~ I don't remember what these are called, but they're burpees without the standing jump up.  Again, it was my arms that were giving out!  I kept up pretty well with timing, but did have to take breaks.

I am really happy that I can get through the first 1/2 of the workout with no problems now!  *flex*

Tomorrow is Pure Cardio + Cardio Abs!!!
Plus maybe some running.  We'll see.

I just remembered I took body photos this morning.  I'll post them tomorrow!!!

Day 16: Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner + Snack!

Today was a busy day!  My Aunt flew in today from Italy to stay with us for 3 weeks!  Plus, I had to wait around for telephone calls.  Then I went to the LA Fair!  and while I was at the fair... I saw Boyz II Men and En Vogue!  If you don't know them... you better start googling!

Breakfast:  Recycled photo from yesterday!  I'm a boring breakfast person sometimes...

Food:  1 cup Wild Harvest Natural Maple Pecan cereal (240 kcal), 1/2 cup Blue Diamond Vanilla Almond Breeze Milk (~40 kcal)

Calories:  280 kcal
Lunch times!:  Veggie omelet at Denny's!

Food:  1/2 omelet w/ spinach, avocado, mushrooms, onions, & bell peppers (170? kcal); 1 slice wheat toast w/margarine & no crust (120 kcal); 1/4 hash browns (50 kcal), 2 cups orange juice (220 kcal)

Calories so far:  740 kcal

I think I went over-calories with the omelet.  I think?  No cheese and no meat... so calories were pretty low!

Uh oh!  time for the fair!!!


That means time to eat excessive calories... but wait!

Saved a little bit by an awesome concert with Boyz II Men and En Vogue!!!  Serious awesomeness here.
Before we knew about the concert... we bought this monstrosity!

Dinner:  Super Nachos!!!

Food:  Nachos with carne asada, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa (~400 kcal).

Calories so far:  ~1140 kcal?

I stayed away from the carne asada, but I couldn't stay away from the guacamole or sour cream! *fail*
Snacky time:  Sweet Watermelon licorice with cream inside.  I was curious okay?  also 1/2 churro!  >_< derp.

Food:  1/4 licorice piece (20 kcal?), 1/2 churro (60 kcal)

Calories so far:  1220 kcal?

So many calories today!  *dies*
